NORTH CONWAY, NH (September 27, 2016) - State and local leaders gathered at the base of Cranmore Mountain Resort today to celebrate the groundbreaking of Phase One of Kearsarge Brook Condominiums at Cranmore. This is the first phase of a $50 million development that will transform the resort into a vibrant mixed-use community with year-round residences and expanded base facilities. When the project is completed, six new buildings and a total of 106 condominiums will have been added to Cranmore's base. The first two buildings will be residential, while the third and fourth will replace existing base lodges with 45,000 square feet of new lodge space.

Phase One of Kearsarge Brook Condominiums is located at the base of the ski area's South Slope, providing the 18 two- and three-bedroom residences with easy access to the slopes and expansive views of Cranmore and the surrounding White Mountains.

Chuck Henderson who is special assistant to Senator Jeanne Shaheen, shared the Senator's comments at today's ceremony. "Not only will these slopeside condominiums help grow the numbers of skier and snowboarder visits, they will provide a year-round home base for those pursuing the wide range of outdoor activities here at Cranmore and throughout the Mt. Washington Valley and White Mountains."

Governor Maggie Hassan, who was not able to attend the event, forwarded a letter that read in part, "The construction of Kearsarge Brook Condominiums at Cranmore Mountain will help boost our travel and tourism industry, as well as the local economy, and have a ripple effect across the entire Granite State."

Cranmore owner, Brian Fairbank, who also operates Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Massachusetts and Bromley Mountain in Vermont, implemented a similar development at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Fairbank had high praise for the team working on the project. "We feel in developing Kearsarge Brook that it is important to partner with local businesses. We're pleased to be working with local contractor, Glen Builders; Badger Realty, our exclusive listing agency; HEB Engineers of North Conway, and Portland, Maine-based architects, Archetype. "

Fairbank closed by adding, "We're excited to announce that our Kearsarge Brook Condominium Phase One owners will have have keys in hand by October 2017."

Phase One homes range from 1,300 square feet to 1,800 square feet for the top floor penthouse. Homeowners will enjoy ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes as well as a variety of resort amenities. Gated parking, private owners ski lockers and special summer and winter discounts are also included for Phase One owners.
